Baluns - Composite, Component, S-Video, Stereo Audio over Cat5
These products will transmit a Composite, Component (YPbPr) or S-Video and Stereo Audio at distances up to 2000 feet on CAT5/ 5e/6. Some models require no power supply for their operation. Furthermore, they fully isolate the inputs and outputs from the Cat5 line and each other.
This isolation rids you from ground loop effects, ground noise, static discharge, and more. There is no galvanic connection between the A/V inputs and outputs.
For a typical setup you need to purchase 2 Baluns, one for each end. On some models, the Balun does not care if the video is an input or output (i.e. same part can work as a sender or a receiver).
