USB Over UTP Extension with Hub

The UU-160-4 extends a 4-port USB Hub up to 160 ft over UTP (Cat5/5e/6 Cable). The kit includes a local unit and a remote unit. The local unit comes with a short cable that is used to plug into the USB port of any PC. Neither side requires a power supply, though the remote unit has the option for plugging in a separate supply if the USB devices require too much power.

It is compatible with virtually all USB devices such as USB cameras, printers, scanners, etc. The unit is a simple plug-and-play device which does not require any special software. It supports data rates of 12 Mbits/sec with USB 1.1 and is compatible with USB 2.0 devices as well (though max data rate is 12 Mbits/sec.)
