These products are user programmable serial devices, where the user can upload the strings that are to be issued in response to digital inputs (contact closure), or keypad buttons with one or more serial outputs. They include a simple GUI (Windows® Graphical User Interface) that allows the user to program the ASCII or binary strings.

Hall Research Projector Controllers are similar units, but they are tailored towards controlling a projector or LCD (power on/off and source selection). Some of these units can detect presence of video and issue commands in response.

Hall Research also manufactures custom programmed keypads for special applications.
